According to initial reports, on the afternoon of 29/8, a 14-year-old was driving a motorbike carrying an 11-year-old sixth-grader, both residents of Bac Binh commune, on National Highway 1. Their motorbike apparently collided with another motorbike traveling in the same direction. The impact caused the motorbike to fall, throwing the 11-year-old passenger into the road where he was then allegedly run over by a car. The car did not stop, leaving the victim dead at the scene.

On the morning of 30/8, Lam Dong Provincial Police were still searching for the car and driver involved in the incident.
