A worker discovered the baby's body at a little after 6 a.m. on 25/8, in an alley leading to an abandoned tourist area, just over 30 meters from National Highway 51, in Ben Dinh Hamlet, Phu My Ward (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
A short distance away, along the side of the road, the placenta and a blood-stained set of clothes, suspected to belong to the mother at the time of birth, were also found.
