Bich Hao Communal Police announced on 23/2 that they are coordinating with relevant units to track down the perpetrator who broke into a gold shop at Phuong Market.
Hoang The Anh, the owner of the gold shop in Bich Hao commune (formerly part of Do Luong district), reported that the incident occurred around 1:20 on 18/2, the second day of Tet. The culprit gained entry through the second floor, bypassing multiple layers of security doors.
Security camera footage showed a slim individual, clad in a light-colored raincoat, a hood, and a face mask. The thief ransacked the premises, smashed glass display cases, and stole numerous silver necklaces and rings.
"On the evening of the first day of Tet, when I closed the shop, I had already secured the gold jewelry in a safe. Therefore, only the silver jewelry, valued at over 200 million VND, remained and was stolen", the shop owner stated.
