Smoliakov Konstantin, a 35-year-old Russian national, was criminally detained by Nha Trang Ward Police on 5/5 following a fatal motorbike accident. He is accused of violating road traffic regulations by riding while intoxicated, losing control of his vehicle, and fatally hitting a woman, causing serious consequences.

The incident occurred yesterday morning on Tran Phu street, near 2/4 Square in Nha Trang Ward. After consuming alcohol, Smoliakov was reportedly driving his motorbike home when he lost control of his speed and steering. He then struck a woman, approximately 70 years old, who was crossing the street.

The victim sustained severe injuries and, despite being rushed to emergency care, did not survive. Smoliakov suffered only minor scratches.

Police investigations revealed Smoliakov Konstantin's blood alcohol content was 268.8 mg/100 ml of blood, significantly exceeding the legal limit.

Nha Trang Ward Police are continuing to consolidate the case file and are coordinating with relevant professional units to process the case in accordance with legal regulations.
