Singer Jack seeks legal paternity recognition for daughter with Thien An

Jack has filed a lawsuit against his former girlfriend, Thien An, requesting the court to legally recognize him as the father of her child and grant him visitation rights.

The paternity dispute between plaintiff Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan (singer Jack) and defendant Tran Nguyen Thien An (actress Thien An) is being handled by the District 2 People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City.

In his lawsuit, Jack stated that he worked with Thien An at his former company in 2019. After they pursued separate careers, they reconnected and became romantically involved. He learned of her pregnancy later. He and his family then brought Thien An to live with them for better care.

The singer claims that his family provided comprehensive care, including emotional support, healthcare, and financial assistance during Thien An's pregnancy. However, disagreements arose after the birth of their child, leading to their separation.

Despite the breakup, Jack expresses his desire to fulfill his paternal responsibilities to the best of his ability until his child reaches adulthood.

However, he alleges that Thien An has made statements accusing him of neglecting his paternal duties and failing to provide financial support and visitation. He claims this has severely damaged his reputation and career.

Consequently, in March, Jack filed a lawsuit with the People's Court of Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province (now the District 16 People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City) requesting legal recognition as the child's father and an order preventing Thien An from hindering his paternal responsibilities.

In June, after confirming the defendant's residence, the case was transferred to the District 2 People's Court for appropriate jurisdiction.

Thien An has requested Jack to provide evidence of paternity.

Recently, Thien An submitted a statement to the court disagreeing with the plaintiff's claims.

According to the defendant, the singer must provide evidence to support his claim of paternity. She has also requested the court to forgo mediation, review the submitted evidence, and issue a ruling, which she will respect.

Thien An also expressed her wish to be absent from the court proceedings, citing the need to dedicate her time to caring for her child and focusing on work to provide for her family.

In late July, Jack and his team held a press conference at the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center to announce a new project. However, the singer allegedly used the event to discuss his personal life, drawing significant public attention.

Previously, in 2021, Jack faced allegations of infidelity and having a child with hot girl Thien An. Thien An subsequently posted on social media, claiming that Jack was seeing other women during her pregnancy. She stated that Jack's mother sent her 5 million VND monthly for child support.

Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan, 28, known as Jack, is a prominent singer. He started his career with the group G5R and later collaborated with producer K-ICM (Nguyen Bao Khanh). In 2019, their songs like "Bac Phan," "Song Gio," and "Em Gi Oi" gained immense popularity, each music video exceeding 200 million views. They ended their partnership in late 2019. In 11/2020, Jack won the "Best Southeast Asia Act" at the MTV EMA.

Born in 1998 in Binh Duong, Thien An studied English at Hutech University of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City. She is a model and has appeared in several of Jack's music videos, including "Bac Phan," "Song Gio," and "Sao Em Vo Tinh."
