Singer Miu Le indicted on charges of organizing drug use

Singer Miu Le, real name Le Anh Nhat, along with two friends, has been temporarily detained and indicted for illegally organizing drug use after police gathered evidence.

On 16/5, the Jai Phong City Police Investigation Agency decided to prosecute and temporarily detain Le Anh Nhat (singer Miu Le, 35, residing in TP HCM) and Vu Khuong An (31, residing in TP HCM, dual Vietnamese and Canadian nationality) for organizing illegal drug use. Tran Minh Trang (30, residing in Hanoi) was charged with failure to report a crime.

On 10/5, these three individuals had not yet been prosecuted as authorities deemed there was "insufficient grounds for criminal prosecution," considering them "beneficiaries" in the case.

Expanding the investigation, police also criminally detained Dang Huy Viet (42, residing in Hoang Mai ward, Hanoi) for illegal drug sales.

Including three individuals who were indicted on 10/5, the case now involves a total of seven defendants.

The Jai Phong City Police Investigation Agency is currently continuing to expand its investigation.

Around 12:30 p.m. on 10/5/2026, acting on a public tip-off, Cat Hai Special Zone Police inspected the Tung Thu beach area, located in village 2 Cat Ba, Cat Hai Special Zone, Jai Phong. They discovered six individuals illegally using drugs.

Rapid test results showed all six individuals tested positive for drugs. Miu Le and three others tested positive for methamphetamine, ketamine, and MDMA.

Searching two rooms at the beach, police seized: two nylon bags containing white powder, a black plastic plate with white powder residue, a metal spoon with white powder residue, a straw rolled from a 200,000 dong banknote with white powder residue, a black plastic card with white powder residue, and a black plastic tube with white powder residue.

Initial investigation determined that Thuy An managed the TiTi Beach accommodation facility at Tung Thu beach in the Cat Hai Special Zone, Cat Ba island.

Starting on 7/5, An invited friends, including singer Miu Le, Vu Khuong An, and the couple Tran Duc Phong and Tran Minh Trang, to visit. Phong then invited Vu Thai Nam to join them and prepared synthetic drugs, specifically a mixed drug drink and ketamine, for the group to use together.

On the night of 9/5, Phong mixed the drug drink into cups and poured ketamine onto a plate for Nam to crush into a fine powder, which was then distributed to six people. The group used drugs until approximately 5 a.m. the following day.
