The car's owner, a martial artist and gym owner, reported that late on 6/9, he drove his pickup truck along Binh Duong Boulevard in Phu Loi Ward (formerly Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province) to drop a friend off. After his friend entered their home, he parked on the sidewalk, left the passenger door open for ventilation, and fell asleep. The next morning, a passerby noticed him sleeping in the vehicle with the door ajar and, suspecting something amiss, woke him.
Upon checking his belongings, he discovered that several gold items, including necklaces, bracelets, and rings (reportedly a substantial amount), along with his cell phone, were missing.
Nearby security footage captured a man wearing a ride-hailing service jacket approaching the rear of the truck around 3 a.m., using a flashlight to search inside for about a minute.
