Traffic police discovered the illicit cargo on the afternoon of 8/8 while inspecting a Laotian-registered bus operated by Hai Yen, traveling from Vientiane to Da Nang. The inspection took place on National Highway 1 as it passed through Phong Thai ward, Hue.
Inside the luggage compartment, police found 19 styrofoam boxes containing chicken feet cartilage emitting a strong, putrid odor. The total weight was approximately one ton. The driver lacked any invoices or documentation for the goods.
The driver, Nguyen Van Khoa, 39, a resident of Hoa Vang ward, Da Nang, admitted to purchasing the 19 boxes of chicken feet cartilage in Laos for sale in various Da Nang stores.

Hue City Police have seized the chicken cartilage and are investigating the incident.
