On 9/6, the Da Nang City Police Investigation Agency announced it had issued emergency detention orders for Le Quang, Nguyen Van Anh (37), and Vo Ngoc Thuan (39), all residents of Son Cam Ha commune, on charges of murder.

Initial investigation revealed that at midday on 7/6, Tung, 25, from Viet An commune, attended a wedding party in Son Cam Ha commune with a friend.

Around 3 p.m. that day, after the celebration concluded, Tung’s friend became embroiled in an argument with several local youths, who then chased and assaulted him. Witnessing the confrontation, Tung rushed to the scene but was surrounded and severely beaten by a group of individuals. He was transported to Quang Nam General Hospital for emergency treatment but succumbed to his injuries the following day.

Following the incident, police conducted a scene investigation, performed an autopsy, and summoned relevant individuals for questioning.

According to investigators, the suspects initially provided evasive and contradictory statements, attempting to conceal their involvement. However, based on collected documents and evidence, the three individuals eventually admitted to participating in the attack on the victim.

Police are currently consolidating the case file, clarifying the roles of each individual, and pursuing other parties involved.
