Initial findings from the Phong Thanh Commune Police indicate that on the morning of 20/6, they received a report of Dang Van Nha, 51, spraying herbicide on another person's rice field. A task force was dispatched to the scene, instructing him to stop the action.
Mr. Nha refused to comply, handing the sprayer to his younger sister, Dang Thi Chim Chuyen, 45. Ms. Chuyen then used the sprayer to spray herbicide at the police officers. Concurrently, another younger sister, Dang Thi Chim Chuyen Em, 42, began livestreaming on social media, making fabricated, defamatory, insulting, abusive, and slanderous remarks against the officers on duty.
Chuyen Em further escalated the situation by attacking and tackling one police officer.

The task force subsequently subdued the individuals, brought them to the headquarters for questioning, and temporarily seized related evidence.
According to Thanh Phong Commune Police, Chuyen Em initially admitted to posting articles and videos online concerning the land dispute. However, she provided no basis or documents to substantiate the actions and content she presented and published.
As of 24/6, the Phong Thanh Commune Police, in collaboration with the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of the Vinh Long Provincial Police, are consolidating the case file. They are investigating the incident for signs of property destruction, resisting public officials, posting false information, and defaming law enforcement.
