On 19/1, the Quang Ngai Province Market Management Department announced it had seized 1,800 counterfeit branded goods and issued an administrative fine of 102,5 million VND to the business owner. Authorities also ordered the destruction of all seized items.

In a separate operation, Market Management Team No. 2, in collaboration with Nghia Hanh Commune Police, inspected local businesses. They discovered an agency with 27 boxes containing 675 water filter cartridges for water purifiers, bearing the "A Qua" and "OCB" brands. The agency lacked invoices or documents to prove the legal origin of these goods, indicating a violation of trade regulations.
Another inspection revealed a company selling electric bicycles and motorbikes had violated product labeling regulations. The company failed to include mandatory information, such as the manufacturing date, on its products. The total value of these non-compliant goods was nearly 34,5 million VND, leading to further penalties.
Market management and local police urged businesses to only sell goods with clear origins, complete invoices, and proper documentation. They also warned against complicity in commercial fraud for financial gain, emphasizing strict enforcement against illegal trade practices.
