On 16/7, Tuyen Quang provincial police announced that its Security Investigation Agency arrested and charged Vu Van Thin, 37, from Thai Nguyen, and Do Manh Dung, 36, from Thanh Hoa, with distributing obscene materials.
The investigation revealed that in 2018, Thin launched multiple websites featuring pornographic videos to attract viewers and generate advertising revenue.

To expand his operation, Thin recruited others, including Dung. Authorities allege the group employed sophisticated technology to maximize profits and evade detection by Vietnamese telecommunications providers.
By the time of their arrest, Thin had created and managed 287 websites containing over 21,000 pornographic videos. Dung independently operated over 100 websites with over 1,000 such videos, in addition to his work with Thin.
The Security Investigation Agency considers the distribution of obscene materials a gateway crime, potentially leading to other offenses, particularly child sexual abuse. This activity violates social morals and can have negative consequences, especially for children and adolescents.
