On 4/8, Major General Le Quang Nhan, Director of Gia Lai Provincial Police, confirmed that an investigation revealed two traffic police officers violated regulations during an official duty. The violation involved chasing a traffic offender in Hoai An commune in mid-July.

Authorities are currently verifying and clarifying allegations that police officers assaulted the individual involved in the traffic incident.

Earlier, according to an initial report from Hoai An Commune Police, on the morning of 17/6, a patrol unit from Tuy Phuoc Traffic Police Station signaled a 17-year-old riding an e-bike to stop for inspection. The teenager did not comply and continued to ride through several streets, with the patrol unit following behind.

Upon reaching Quang Trung street, the teenager's e-bike collided with another e-bike, causing three people to fall to the road and sustain injuries. The report states that the traffic police patrol vehicle arrived shortly after the incident and, along with local residents, helped move the injured individuals and vehicles to the roadside.

Following the incident, some residents alleged that the traffic police chase caused the accident and that the officers assaulted the violator. The teenager was observed with multiple bruises on their back.

One day later, a video from a different angle surfaced on social media. It showed a traffic police motorcycle chasing the teenager's e-bike, with the passenger on the patrol vehicle appearing to use a stick to strike the teenager.
