According to investigators, from October 2023 to October 2025, Dang, in his roles as former head of Chi Thanh neighborhood (Chi Thanh town, old Tuy An district, Phu Yen province) and current head of Chi Thanh village (Tuy An Bac commune, Dak Lak province), allegedly abused his freedom of speech. He is accused of posting numerous fabricated and distorted articles and images on various work groups, targeting the Party's guidelines and local regulations.
Among these actions, on 1/10/2023, Dang created a Zalo group named "Cong dan khu pho Chi Thanh" (Citizens of Chi Thanh Neighborhood) on social media, connecting 244 members. As the group administrator, he consistently made negative and distorted comments regarding several local initiatives. These included policies for removing temporary and dilapidated housing, the process of exchanging new Party member cards, the implementation of local road construction projects, and the program offering free ATM cards to beneficiaries, the poor, and social welfare recipients.
Furthermore, Dang is accused of uploading personal images of several local leaders to community groups, then adding comments to mock and insult them. Despite receiving repeated feedback and criticism from local authorities and residents within the neighborhood, he did not cease his activities.
Investigators determined that Dang's posts contained content that incited public confusion. These actions significantly reduced the credibility and role of Party organizations and the local government, negatively affecting local security and order.
At the investigative agency, Dang admitted to his violations and expressed a desire for legal leniency.
The police are currently consolidating the case file for further processing.
