On April 23, the Da Nang City Police Criminal Investigation Department announced that in coordination with professional units, they arrested Nguyen Hong An, 35, residing in Phu Ninh commune, for abusing trust to appropriate property.

Detectives located An hiding in An Phu ward, Ho Chi Minh City. In coordination with local police, authorities apprehended him in Hiep An 5 neighborhood.

According to case files, on the afternoon of 25/4/2021, An and his friends held a drinking gathering at an acquaintance's house in Phu Ninh commune. There, An rented a portable speaker system for 40,000 dong per hour.

The following morning, An took the device to an electronics store on Tran Cao Van street, Huong Tra ward, and sold it for 6 million dong, then fled the locality.

The case was initiated, but due to An's unknown whereabouts, police temporarily suspended the investigation. In early 2026, after resuming the investigation and verifying leads, Da Nang City Police charged An and issued a wanted notice for him.
