Quang Tri Provincial Traffic Police confirmed on 20/6 that they collaborated with Truong Phu Commune Police to address a woman's traffic obstruction.
The incident occurred around 11:30 on 17/6, when the woman and her husband were traveling on National Highway 9C by motorbike. As they reached Truong Phu commune, she abruptly dismounted, stood in the road, and then lay down directly in front of an oncoming car. Her husband drove a short distance further before returning.
The car driver quickly stopped and reversed to prevent a collision, eventually maneuvering around her by driving along the road's shoulder.
Dashcam footage of the incident quickly circulated on social media. Police issued an administrative violation record and are investigating further. Authorities stated that her actions violated regulations under Decree 168/2024, which prohibits lying or sitting on roadways and obstructing traffic.
