Police in Phu Tho province announced on 18/6 that they have detained Ha, a resident of Phu My commune, on suspicion of murder.

Initial investigations suggest that at 0:20 on 17/8, Ha and her 25-year-old husband attended a party where they consumed alcohol. Upon returning to their home in Phu My commune, an argument broke out. During the altercation, Ha allegedly stabbed her husband in the left side. The victim, bleeding from the wound, ran from the house into the yard.

Ha reportedly chased after him with the knife but did not stab him again. Her in-laws attempted to intervene but were unsuccessful. The victim collapsed unconscious in the front yard and subsequently died.

After the incident, Ha took a photo of herself crying, with stains on her shirt, and posted it on her Facebook page.

Ha and her husband had been married for about 5 years and had a 5-year-old son. Both worked as factory workers in the area.
