The wedding of Duanghathaimat, known as "Ice", and Jirayuth, or "Toy", in Saraburi province on 4/3 became a sensation on Thai social media due to its rare role reversal.
During the khan mak ceremony, a traditional Thai dowry procession, the groom's family typically takes the initiative. However, "Ice" directly led the bride's procession to the groom's family. Arriving in an oto convertible, she presented 400,000 baht (over 280 million VND) in cash, along with gold necklaces and rings as dowry to propose to "Toy". The groom works as an employee in her company.

Instead of the customary "door-blocking games" designed to challenge the proposer, the groom's family opened their doors wide to welcome "Ice"'s procession, showing their appreciation for the bride-to-be.
"Ice" shared that she proposed the idea of this role reversal, which received enthusiastic support from both sets of parents. As the only daughter, she wanted her special day to leave a distinct mark. "I believe traditions can be adjusted to suit modern society. It's not necessary for men to always be the ones to propose", the executive stated.

The couple has been together for over 8 years. Throughout "Ice"'s journey building her career from nothing, "Toy" consistently offered quiet support. His steadfastness and understanding motivated her to offer him a special tribute on their wedding day.
In front of both families, "Toy" expressed his surprise and happiness at his girlfriend personally bringing the dowry to propose. "Her actions deeply touched me", he said.
