Home care services for the elderly

bTaskee Company develops in-home healthcare services for the elderly and sick, offering families an additional option to support their loved ones.

Amidst an aging population, long-term in-home healthcare services for the elderly and sick are gaining increasing attention. bTaskee Company Limited has expanded its bCare by bTaskee service to meet market demand.

This solution offers families an additional option to care for parents and grandparents when they cannot always be present. It also enables the elderly to receive support with daily activities, health monitoring, and companionship, reducing feelings of loneliness.

However, a bTaskee representative stated that a major challenge in elderly care is the lack of properly trained personnel. This work requires not only assistance with eating and daily activities but also fundamental knowledge of nursing, nutrition, rehabilitation, and skills to handle certain medical situations. Caregivers also need patience, active listening, and emotional support to help the elderly reduce feelings of loneliness.

The General Statistics Office, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), published population projections for Vietnam from 2024 to 2074, estimating Vietnam will have approximately 20,9 million people aged 60 and above by 2034, 27,5 million by 2044, and reach 38,5 million by 2074.

Research by the World Health Organization (WHO) indicates that prolonged loneliness in the elderly increases the risk of depression, sleep disorders, and affects both physical and mental health. Experts suggest that the mental health status of the elderly correlates strongly with their access to medical services and geriatric healthcare resources.

To enhance personnel quality in this field, bTaskee expanded its training collaborations last July to standardize services nationwide. Specifically, on 13/7, the company signed a cooperation agreement with the Center for Training and Technology Transfer (HPEC) at Hanoi Medical University to develop training programs and foster specialized knowledge and practical skills for its in-home healthcare team.

Previously, bTaskee also collaborated with the Center for Healthcare Human Resources Training according to Social Needs (CHPT), University of Medicine and Pharmacy, TP HCM, and the Institute for Research & Training in Social Welfare Medicine and Pharmacy.

Established in 2016, bTaskee Company Limited is a technology enterprise that provides a platform connecting on-demand household services. In addition to hourly housekeeping, cleaning, home care, and repair services, the company expanded into in-home healthcare with bCare. Through its application, users can schedule and manage various services for daily living needs. Currently, bTaskee operates in many provinces and cities across Vietnam and has expanded into several Southeast Asian markets.
