Held on 21/6 in the Thu Thiem urban area, Galaxy Run featured two distances: 5km and 10km. Registration was free for 5,000 athletes. The event, organized by Samsung Vietnam in collaboration with VnExpress Marathon, carried the message "Advancing step by step," encouraging individuals to embark on their health journey in a way that suits their physical condition and lifestyle.
The event's registration slots were filled within just 5 hours of opening, demonstrating its strong appeal to the community. A notable aspect of Galaxy Run is not its scale or competitive achievements, but its design to welcome multiple generations to participate together.

For younger participants, aged 18 to 44, running is increasingly becoming an integral part of an active lifestyle. Many view each race as an opportunity to push personal limits, conquer new milestones, or simply maintain a consistent exercise routine amidst busy lives.
In contrast, for the age group of 45 and older, the objectives are somewhat different. Running is less about performance and more closely linked to long-term health. Factors such as sleep quality, recovery ability, heart rate, and consistent physical activity become more prominent concerns. This demographic needs to proactively manage their health but often has limited participation in large-scale community sports activities.
Numerous sports studies indicate that sleep, heart rate, and recovery ability directly influence training effectiveness. For runners, quality sleep helps the body regenerate energy, improve endurance, and enhance performance. Meanwhile, monitoring heart rate and post-exercise recovery status helps individuals determine appropriate intensity, reduce the risk of overtraining, and minimize injury risks.
This is why Samsung chose to develop Galaxy Run as a community activity for all ages. Offering all 5,000 participation slots for free lowers barriers to access, creating an environment where both beginners and experienced runners can join.
To support participants on this journey, Samsung partnered with Galaxy Run, featuring the Galaxy Watch8 series. The device acts as a companion, helping users monitor their body's condition through metrics like sleep, heart rate, and recovery when connected to the Galaxy S26 series. This provides runners with data to adjust their training intensity appropriately, aiming to improve performance while reducing the risk of overexertion during exercise.
