The national center for hydro-meteorological forecasting announced that on the fourth day of the reinforced cold air mass's impact, all 15 northern provinces and cities saw temperatures drop below 10 degrees celsius. Dinh Lap, Lang Son, recorded the lowest temperature of 3 degrees celsius.
Several high mountainous regions recorded temperatures of 4-5 degrees celsius, including Pha Din (Dien Bien), Co Noi and Moc Chau (Son La), Sa Pa (Lao Cai), Ngan Son (Thai Nguyen), Tam Dao (Phu Tho), Trung Khanh (Cao Bang), Mau Son and Bac Son (Lang Son), and Quang Ha (Quang Ninh).

The remaining areas of northern Vietnam experienced minimum temperatures ranging from 6-8 degrees celsius. In Hanoi, Ba Vi station consistently maintained 8 degrees, while Lang, Hoai Duc, Ha Dong, and Son Tay stations recorded 10 degrees.
Today, central Vietnam's temperatures decreased by 1-2 degrees compared to yesterday. The lowest temperature in the region was 8 degrees in Bai Thuong and Nhu Xuan of Thanh Hoa, followed by Quy Hop and Tay Hieu (Nghe An) at 9 degrees. Huong Son (Ha Tinh) recorded 12 degrees, Tuyen Hoa (Quang Tri) 13 degrees, and A Luoi (Hue) 12 degrees celsius.
US-based Accuweather forecasts Hanoi's temperatures today to be 11-22 degrees, gradually rising to 13-24 degrees celsius by the weekend. High-altitude areas above 1,500 meters, such as Sa Pa (Lao Cai), will see temperatures of 3-9 degrees today, increasing to 5-12 degrees celsius later.
The meteorological agency warns that the intense cold spell will persist for many days, posing risks to public health. Frost and hoarfrost can weaken resistance, increase the risk of disease outbreaks, cause damage to livestock and poultry, and potentially scorch leaves, slowing crop growth and development.
