3,000 job opportunities at Long Thanh airport

Over 3,000 jobs at Long Thanh airport will be showcased at a recruitment fair on 23/8, creating opportunities for local workers and recent graduates.

The job fair, co-organized by the Dong Nai People's Committee (UBND) and Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), will be held at 3A Park in An Phuoc commune to prepare the workforce for the operational phase of Long Thanh airport. The event will feature 8 consultation booths and is expected to attract around 2,000 attendees, mainly students from Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City.

The job opportunities presented at the fair include: operation engineers, electrical equipment maintenance, electronics and telecommunications, mechanics and automation, and chemical testing. In the initial phase, the airport is expected to create around 3,000 jobs, with ACV alone needing to fill 1,400 positions. Additionally, airlines and ground service providers will recruit nearly 1,500 employees to support operations.

In addition to recruitment, the program will include seminars, forums to support candidates, and career guidance activities conducted by the Vietnam Aviation Academy. The organizers hope the event will help local workers access quality job opportunities when Long Thanh becomes one of the largest aviation hubs in the region.

Vu The Phiet, Chairman of ACV's Board of Directors, said the fair is part of the airport's operational preparation plan. "ACV prioritizes recruiting Dong Nai residents, especially those who have donated land and supported the project," he said.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), Long Thanh airport will need approximately 14,000 employees when the first phase becomes operational. Previously, Dong Nai approved a plan for training and developing local human resources from 2024-2026, with a vision to 2030, aiming to support around 4,800 local workers in finding jobs inside and outside the airport.

The Long Thanh airport project covers an area of 5,000 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 336,630 billion VND, and is considered a national key project. The Prime Minister has urged relevant units to accelerate progress, striving to inaugurate Long Thanh international airport on 19/12/2025.
