Units gathered at the Mieu Mon National Training Center early on 17/7. This first combined rehearsal, following individual and group practice sessions, aimed to assess overall preparedness and identify areas for improvement before the main event on 2/9. The rehearsal included marching units, artillery, armored vehicles, and other military equipment.

Leading the parade was the command vehicle representing the army and militia forces. The army participated with 27 marching and 11 stationary units. In addition to ground troops, the army showcased tanks, submarines, and naval vessels.

At the forefront was the Honor Guard, representing the navy, army, and air force – the core of the Vietnam People's Army. The rehearsal took place under sunny conditions, with temperatures reaching 35-36 degrees Celsius.

The armored unit, a key assault force of the Vietnamese army with a 66-year tradition of victory, followed. Equipped with slung rifles, the unit maintained precise marching and saluting throughout the rehearsal.

The special forces officer unit, formed in 1967, specializes in "special tasks," penetrating deep into enemy territory.

The special forces unit followed. Personnel are carefully selected, standing at least 1.75 meters tall, with unit leaders and flag bearers at least 1.8 meters. They maintain a sharp appearance, excellent discipline, and professional conduct.

The female medical officer unit represented one of seven female units, including military band, peacekeeping forces, communications officers, medical officers, special operations forces, ethnic minority militia, and southern guerrillas. A total of 1,296 female personnel have been training at the Mieu Mon National Training Center since June.

The female special operations unit represents the clandestine forces operating behind enemy lines.

The female communications officer unit represents the communications branch. Each unit wears specific uniforms according to their duties, some carrying weapons and equipment, others unarmed.

The female special police unit is one of two female units from the Ministry of Public Security participating in the parade.

The female traffic police unit also participated. In addition to marching units, the Ministry of Public Security will contribute traffic police motorcycles, lead vehicles, armored vehicles, and mobile command centers.

The firefighting unit also participated. The 61 units have almost two months of training remaining before the preliminary review, final rehearsal, and the official parade on 2/9.
