A flamboyant tree uprooted, crushing a moving car in Ho Chi Minh City

A flamboyant tree, over 6 meters tall, unexpectedly uprooted and fell onto a 7-seater car traveling on Nguyen Tat Thanh street, damaging the front of the vehicle but causing no injuries, on the afternoon of 12/7.

After 11 a.m., a flamboyant tree, over 6 meters tall, planted on the sidewalk in front of house number 65, Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Ba Ria ward, unexpectedly fell onto the road. The tree trunk landed on the front of a 7-seater car traveling towards the Cach Mang Thang Tam intersection.

A woman living near the scene stated that when the incident occurred, the area experienced light rain but strong gusts of wind. The tree did not fall on the passenger compartment, so those in the car were not injured.

At the scene, the flamboyant tree was completely uprooted, its root ball dislodging many sidewalk paving bricks. The tree trunk lay across the windshield, causing the car's front tire to burst, and the tree canopy covered one lane of the road.

Approximately 700 meters away, another flamboyant tree on Dien Bien Phu street, near Ba Ria Square, also uprooted and blocked the road. This incident caused no casualties but disrupted traffic in the area.
