Shortly after 5 am, some lecturers playing sports on the Tay Nguyen University campus in Ea Kao ward heard a loud noise. Upon reaching the parking area, they found the approximately 8-meter-tall flamboyant tree, with a trunk diameter of about 60 centimeters, had fallen onto the corrugated iron roof.

The incident damaged a section of the parking shed roof and the school's fence, causing no injuries. "Fortunately, the tree fell early in the morning when no one was in the parking area," a university representative said.

Later that same morning, the tree management unit pruned branches and cleared the tree trunk. According to the university, this unit will cover the repair costs for the damaged parking shed.

The flamboyant tree, approximately 30 years old, stood on the Le Duan street sidewalk, falling under the management of the Ea Kao ward People's Committee.

At the time of the incident, there was no rain, and the weather was normal. Nguyen Xuan No, Vice Chairman of the Ea Kao ward People's Committee, stated that initial inspection revealed the tree's base was rotten, causing it to spontaneously uproot.
