Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway to fully open before 18/5

The 16 km section of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, from the Vo Nguyen Giap interchange to Long Thanh, is scheduled to open before 18/5, allowing the 54 km route to operate.

Nguyen Van Ut, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, announced this update during an inspection of Component Project one of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway on the morning of 7/5. This 16 km section is the last segment to be completed, following the temporary opening of component projects two and three, totaling 38 km, on 29/4.

Component Project one spans 16 km, traversing Phuoc Tan, Tam Phuoc, Binh An, Long Thanh, and An Phuoc wards. To date, its implementation value has reached 2,200 billion VND, representing 90% of the contract.

Beyond accelerating construction of remaining items, the investor is finalizing the traffic management plan and coordinating with relevant authorities for acceptance testing to complete opening procedures.

Dong Nai leaders have urged contractors to mobilize personnel and equipment, implementing overtime shifts to ensure timely progress and complete the project ahead of schedule.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway stretches 54 km, with a total investment of 17,800 billion VND, divided into three component projects. Once operational, it will alleviate traffic pressure on National Route 51 and cut travel time from TP HCM to the Vung Tau area to 70 minutes, a substantial improvement from the current two hours.
