According to the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, the bridge aims to enhance urban transport infrastructure, increase connectivity between main arteries, and alleviate pressure on the city center. Once operational, the structure will reduce travel times and serve the medical examination and treatment needs at the Provincial General Hospital.
