3-year-old boy found after overnight search in Thai Nguyen

A 3-year-old boy from Van Lang commune, Dang Trieu Thien Van, was found safe on the morning of 26/4, more than 2 km from his home, after a 14-hour overnight search involving multiple forces.

Around 7 p.m. on 25/4, the Van Lang Commune Police received a report from residents of Nam Ca village that 3-year-old Dang Trieu Thien Van had been missing since approximately 3:30 p.m. that day. His family's initial search efforts were unsuccessful, prompting them to request assistance.

Local authorities quickly mobilized a large-scale search operation, involving police, military personnel, self-defense militia, and residents. They formed multiple teams to search through the night across streams, cultivated fields, and inter-village roads. Additionally, security cameras were reviewed, and the public was urged to assist in the search.

At approximately 9 a.m. on 26/4, a task force from the Van Lang Commune Police, working with local forces, discovered traces of the child near a stream, more than 2 km from his family's home. Following footprints and dropped toys, authorities heard crying and located the boy in dense bushes, about 200-300 m from the stream.

The boy had several red marks from insect bites and was frightened, but his overall health was stable. The task force provided him with first aid, food, and water before reuniting him with his family.
