The symbol honoring wet rice will be located in Vinh Loi commune, near National Highway 1. Designed by architect Vuong Hoang Le's team, the structure stands 24 m tall, with the cluster of three rice grains reaching 18 m. The total investment is approximately 20 billion VND, primarily funded through social mobilization.
The three rice grains symbolize the growth stages: milky, ripe, and germinating, representing the continuity and vitality of wet rice civilization. The interconnected forms create an arc shape, evoking the image of storks flying over rice fields.

This area will showcase OCOP products, specialty rice, agricultural tools, and artworks and photographs related to agriculture. It will also connect local historical and cultural sites to form a "heritage route".
Meanwhile, the wet rice museum is designed as an "experiential memory museum," recreating the process of land reclamation, the rice plant's life cycle, traditional to modern agricultural tools, the rural landscape of the Southern region, and the production ecosystem of brackish and saline lands.
The facility is located at the former Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee (UBND) headquarters, combining artifact displays with experiential activities such as rice planting, rice milling, and rice pounding. Data will also be digitized to create a digital museum. The province aims for content that does not overlap with other museums in the Mekong Delta, focusing on portraying the adaptability of people in the "acidic soil, saline water" region.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2028, with each completed component brought into operation progressively.
