Car owner fined 474 million VND for 96 traffic violations

A car owner has been fined over 474 million VND after accumulating 96 traffic violations, recorded by AI cameras since the beginning of the year, including 21 speeding offenses in july alone.

On 13/8, the Phu Tho Provincial Police Traffic Police Department announced it had issued a fine totaling 474 million VND to a 47-year-old male driver residing in Xuan Lung commune for a series of traffic violations. The individual, who owns a Ha Noi-plated car, was caught committing 96 offenses by AI camera systems on Nguyen Tat Thanh street since the beginning of the year, with 21 of these being speeding violations recorded in july alone.

During his interaction with authorities, the driver faced three additional charges: operating the vehicle without valid compulsory civil liability insurance, driving an oto that lacked a technical safety and environmental protection inspection certificate, and failing to complete the necessary registration and license plate transfer procedures after changing car ownership.
