Car plunges into ravine while crossing bridge in Dong Thap

A 3-ton truck driving on national route N2 suddenly swerved into the opposite lane, broke through a guardrail, and fell into a ravine, injuring the driver.

On the morning of May 1, a driver was operating a cargo truck traveling from Tay Ninh to Dong Thap. Upon reaching the bridge channel 500-2 area in Doc Binh Kieu commune, the vehicle unexpectedly veered, crossed into the opposite lane, struck a road sign and a guardrail, then plunged into the ravine below the bridge.

At the scene, approximately 5 meters of guardrail were dislodged, with debris scattered across the road. The truck lay overturned in the ravine. The driver sustained minor injuries and was able to exit the vehicle unaided.

Doc Binh Kieu commune police are investigating the cause of the incident with the driver and have deployed rescue vehicles to remove the truck from the scene.
