On the morning of 18/6, the 14th National Women's Congress for the 2026-2031 term elected a new Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, comprising 24 members. Three Vice Presidents of the 13th Vietnam Women's Union, Tran Lan Phuong, Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, and Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, were also re-elected for the new term.

Le Thi Thuy, 62, is from Nghe An province. She holds a master's degree in law and a bachelor's degree in law, and serves as Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. She has been a member of the Party Central Committee for three terms: the 12th, 13th, and 14th.
She previously held various positions in Nghe An, including: Deputy Chief Inspector of the province, Deputy Secretary of the Hung Nguyen District Party Committee, Deputy Head, and then Head of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee, and Chief Inspector of the province. In late 2010, she was transferred to the central government to serve as Deputy Inspector General of the Government, later becoming Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission.
In 2019, the Politburo assigned her to be the Provincial Party Secretary of Ha Nam. From February 2025, she served as Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee. After being re-elected as a member of the Party Central Committee at the 14th Congress in early 2026, in March of the same year, she was appointed Secretary of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.
The Vietnam Women's Union is an organization that represents, cares for, and protects the legitimate rights and interests of women. It participates in Party building, state management, and supervises the implementation of policies and guidelines related to women, families, children, and gender equality. The Union also mobilizes and supports women to enhance their capabilities, improve their lives, and build happy families.
