Around 8:30 AM, a truck with a Hanoi license plate was transporting telecommunications equipment, including antennas, up Ta Zon mountain. It stopped midway up the slope at a transfer point, approximately 200 meters from the mountain's base, to unload some cargo.
The vehicle carried three individuals: the driver and two workers.

Initial reports indicate that after unloading some cargo, the driver attempted to move the truck slightly to create space for hoist operations. Unexpectedly, the vehicle's brakes failed, causing it to plunge from the mountainside into the mechanical workshop of a nearby stone quarry.
Two individuals died at the scene, and one succumbed to injuries while being transported for emergency medical care.
