According to a communique from the central committee's office, these topics were addressed during the afternoon group discussion session. Besides delegates and personnel matters, the central committee also provided feedback on draft documents for the congress, aligning with the previously agreed-upon new direction.
The central committee also discussed amending and supplementing several key resolutions to strengthen the political and legal foundation for continued national reform and innovation. Key areas on the agenda included land, building a socialist state ruled by law, education and training, and adjusting the national master plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

That morning, the central committee convened in the main hall. General Secretary To Lam delivered the opening remarks, and President Luong Cuong presided over the meeting.
The central committee agreed on a plan to finalize the draft documents for the 14th national congress. The new political report will consolidate the content of three previous reports: the political report, the socio-economic report, and the summary report on party building and implementation of party regulations; the report on the implementation of party regulations; and the summary report on several theoretical and practical issues concerning the socialist-oriented innovation process after 40 years.
During the morning session, the central committee also addressed personnel matters.
The 12th central committee meeting of the 13th tenure commenced on the morning of 18/7 and is scheduled to conclude on 19/7. The discussions focused on three main areas: preparations for the 14th national congress; building the political and legal basis for continued national reform and innovation; and personnel matters.
