Around 9 p.m. on 22/1, a container truck traveling on national highway 1 collided with a motorcycle driven by a woman carrying two small children as it turned towards Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa. The impact knocked all three people onto the road, and the front of the container truck suddenly caught fire.

The boy's leg became trapped as the fire erupted, causing severe burns. The woman and the other child sustained minor injuries. Nearby residents quickly extinguished the initial flames, pulled the boy out, and rushed him to the emergency room.

Lam, a resident near the scene, stated that the fire spread rapidly after the collision. "Everyone just rushed in to pull the child out; his leg was already burned at that point", he said.

About 15 minutes later, the fire intensified, engulfing the front of the truck. Firefighters deployed several specialized vehicles to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

The fire caused localized traffic congestion around Phu Son intersection, requiring authorities to reroute and manage vehicle flow. Authorities have examined the scene to determine the cause of the accident and the fire.
