Da Nang appoints directors for 14 departments

The Da Nang People's Council approved the establishment of 14 departments and appointed their directors following the merger with Quang Nam.

In its first session after the merger of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city, the Da Nang People's Council passed a resolution establishing 14 agencies under the city’s People's Committee. 12 of these departments were formed by merging corresponding agencies from Quang Nam and Da Nang, including: Home Affairs, Justice, Finance, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Science and Technology, Education and Training, Health, Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee Office, and the City Inspectorate.

The Department of Ethnic Affairs and Religion was created by merging the Ethnic Affairs and Religion Division (formerly under Da Nang's Department of Home Affairs) and Quang Nam’s Department of Ethnic Affairs and Religion. The city’s Department of Foreign Affairs merged the Foreign Relations Office (from Quang Nam's People's Committee Office) with Da Nang's Department of Foreign Affairs.
