Da Nang reshuffles key officials

Da Nang is transferring and appointing numerous officials across departments, sectors, and localities to consolidate its administrative structure and prepare personnel for key tourism, industrial, and service areas.

On 22/5, the Da Nang City Party Committee announced decisions regarding personnel. This round of restructuring involves interconnected transfers between the city's Party and government bodies and local levels.

To Van Hung, a City Party Committee member and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee, has been transferred to the Da Nang City People's Committee and appointed as the city's Chief Inspector.

Following Hung's transfer, Pham Truong Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the city's Party agencies, was mobilized and assigned to the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and appointed as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Nguyen Van Luom, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Thang Binh Commune People's Council, has been transferred to serve as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the city's Party agencies, replacing Son.

In Thang Binh commune, Nguyen Xuan Tien, Chief of Staff for the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and Da Nang City People's Council, was transferred to serve as Secretary of the Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, also joining the Command Board of Defense Area 4 - Ban Thach.

These transfers demonstrate a continuous replacement chain across positions from city to local levels.

In Tra Tap commune, Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen, Chairwoman of the Commune Party Committee's Inspection Committee, was approved as Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and nominated to be elected as Chairwoman of the Commune People's Council.

On the same day, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City People's Council transferred Ha Duc Tien, Deputy Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the 11th City People's Council, appointing him as Chief of Staff for the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and Da Nang City People's Council for a period of 5 years.

Assigning tasks to the newly transferred and appointed officials, Da Nang City Party Committee Secretary Le Ngoc Quang affirmed that challenging areas requiring significant change need officials with courage, capability, who dare to think, act, and take responsibility for the common good. He urged the new officials to quickly adapt to their roles, uphold discipline, and use work results as a measure of performance.

The Standing Committee of the Tra Tap Commune Party Committee was tasked with urgently completing the selection of the head of the government to stabilize the organization.

In the coming period, Da Nang will continue to review and consolidate its team of officials, particularly at the local level. The city also aims to reduce the number of redundant deputy positions following organizational restructuring, as directed by the Central government. Da Nang prioritizes assigning experienced officials to key areas related to heritage, tourism, urban development, and industry.
