Delegates at the closing session of the 14th Party Central Committee's 2nd Plenum

Delegates attending the closing session of the 14th Party Central Committee's 2nd Plenum on the afternoon of 25/3 highly agreed on major issues regarding organization, personnel, and foundational regulations, after three days of work.

The 14th Party Central Committee's 2nd Plenum concluded two days earlier than planned. General Secretary To Lam chaired and delivered the closing speech. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presided over the working program.

General Secretary To Lam stated that the Central Committee reached a high consensus on important Party and national issues. These included organizational and personnel matters, along with foundational Party regulations.

He affirmed that achieving two-digit economic growth is an objective requirement for national development in the new period and reflects the nation's aspiration to advance. Vietnam will not accept low growth, committing to high, sustainable, and substantive economic growth.

During the three days of work, the Central Committee discussed many important topics. These included introducing personnel for State leadership positions for the 2026-2031 term and electing additional members to the Central Inspection Commission.

Vu Hong Van, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, sat at the front, wearing a red tie. Yesterday, the Central Committee discussed the proposal to establish Dong Nai city directly under the central government.

Sitting in the middle of the second row were Tran Hong Thai, President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Hoang Minh Son, Acting Minister of Education and Training.

Ha Thi Nga, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (right), sat next to Nguyen Huu Nghia, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee.
