After a week of piloting the new commune-level administration, all 45 communes and wards in Dong Thap Province have trialled the public administrative service center, with 32 points for receiving applications and returning results.
The commune-level public administrative service center receives applications from organizations and individuals, transfers them to the competent authorities for processing, and receives the results to return to the applicants within the prescribed processing time for administrative procedures.
The administrative procedure resolution information system has been operating to exchange electronic documents and connect and share information and data, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operation.
In addition, most of the new commune administrations in Dong Thap have prepared draft working regulations, work programs, draft proposals for establishing specialized agencies under the commune-level People's Committee, draft regulations on functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of specialized agencies, and plans for renaming hamlets and villages. They are continuing to monitor, update, and complete these drafts as new regulations and guidance from the central government become available.
Despite initial challenges, local authorities have actively and promptly taken the lead in preparing conditions for the operation of the new commune-level administration.
