On the afternoon of 17/8, Huy witnessed a pod of dozens of dolphins swimming in groups, frequently surfacing and diving. He captured the remarkable scene on video and shared it on social media.

Huy estimated the pod to be quite large and bold, swimming close to fishing boats, resembling a migrating group. Research suggests that dolphin migration through this area indicates a healthy marine environment in Cam Ranh Bay. Dolphins have been spotted several times in nearshore waters of Khanh Hoa in 2020 and 2022.

Dolphins are mammals, ranging from 1.2 to 9.5 meters in length and weighing from 40 kg to 10 tons. They typically live in pods of tens to hundreds in shallow waters. They are known for their friendliness towards humans and can be trained to perform in shows.
