On the afternoon of 14/7, the Dien Chau traffic police station, an arm of the Nghe An provincial police, announced they had identified the female driver involved in the incident. She has been summoned for questioning to clarify her actions and determine appropriate handling.

The dangerous incident occurred at approximately 8:10 h on 13/7, at the railway crossing with national highway 1 in Hung Chau commune. A video recorded by residents shows that the warning lights for an approaching train had activated, and the automatic barrier began to lower.

Despite these clear warnings, the female driver, operating a Nghe An-plated pickup truck, drove forward, intending to bypass the barrier and cross the railway. Two barrier staff immediately ran out to intervene, demanding she stop the vehicle and reverse from the dangerous area. After a few minutes, the woman finally reversed her vehicle, yielding to the train.

Authorities have assessed this behavior as posing a serious accident risk.
