On 17/4, the Cuc Canh sat Giao thong (Traffic Police Department) under the Bo Cong an (Ministry of Public Security) announced the completion of 15-minute videos. These videos depict accident scenarios involving motorcycles and automobiles. Under the new regulation, all driving test candidates must view these videos before their examination. This initiative aims to help learners identify hazardous driving behaviors, thereby cultivating a stronger sense of responsibility for their own safety and that of others on the road.
The videos combine real footage with simulated scenarios to illustrate common hazardous situations. These include improper turns, driving under the influence, and reckless overtaking. Certain scenarios will also be part of the simulated driving test to evaluate candidates' response capabilities.

A spokesperson for the Cuc Canh sat Giao thong explained that this content addition seeks to improve the driving training and testing process. It emphasizes not only vehicle control skills but also driver ethics and responsibility.
This initiative stems from earlier recommendations by the agency to enhance testing content. Previous training and examination methods were found insufficient in addressing real-world traffic scenarios. Existing driving tests primarily assess basic skills like vehicle control, acceleration, deceleration, and signaling over a 2 km route. However, common accident causes such as insufficient observation at intersections, incorrect lane use, or improper road positioning were not fully evaluated.
