Mazda has expanded its CX-5 lineup by introducing a new 2.0 deluxe version, priced at 699 million dong. This new variant omits certain features, such as roof rails, exhaust tips, and a tire pressure warning system, compared to the previously available 2.0 deluxe model, which was priced at 749 million dong.
Dealerships anticipate the new "reduced-option" Mazda CX-5 2.0 deluxe will be available by late April. Mazda is currently offering a 10 million dong promotion, bringing its price down to 689 million dong. Meanwhile, the original 2.0 deluxe version also comes with a 30 million dong discount, setting its dealer price at 719 million dong.

The CX-5's updated price range now spans from 699 to 979 million dong. Sales staff explain that this new, more accessible version aims to attract customers seeking lower initial costs. This strategic pricing also bolsters the CX-5's market competitiveness, especially as its primary sales rival in the segment, the Ford Territory, reduced its retail price by 21-23 million dong to 739-875 million dong starting in April (in 2025 alone).
The Mazda CX-5 currently offers the most variants in its C-segment high-riding category, with eight different options available. Most competitors, by contrast, typically provide only 3-4 choices.
Thaco has confirmed that a new generation CX-5 will be launched in late 2026. Dealership sales staff anticipate this upcoming model will be positioned as a premium offering, sold alongside the current CX-5.
The CX-5 has consistently dominated its segment in sales for six consecutive years, from 2020 to the present. In the first Quarter of 2026, the CX-5 sold 4,643 units, maintaining its position as the segment's best-seller. The VinFast VF 7 and Ford Territory followed, with 3,514 units and 3,411 units sold respectively.
