Upon discovering the fire at Yen’s house, residents alerted the ward police and the Ward Military Command (Ban Chi Huy Quan Su), who organized a firefighting team. After 20 minutes, the blaze was brought under control, and Yen was found deceased inside the house.

Ward authorities stated that Yen’s house is located in a sparsely populated area, surrounded by many trees. Due to his previous stroke, Yen had difficulty moving and was unable to escape when the fire broke out.

Phong Thai ward police have assigned personnel to secure the scene for investigation and resolution of the fire.
