Fire at plastic recycling factory in Hung Yen

A plastic recycling and packaging production factory in Thuong Hong ward was engulfed in flames on the afternoon of 26/3.

At around 2:20 PM, a fire erupted with multiple explosions at a plastic recycling and packaging production factory on Ngoc Lam street, Thuong Hong ward. Witnesses reported that the fire quickly spread from a small blaze to consume the entire factory, creating a smoke column tens of meters high, visible from several kilometers away.

The factory, spanning thousands of square meters and one story high, was topped with a corrugated iron roof. Inside, it stored both raw materials and finished packaging products. Due to the intense heat from the blaze, a portion of the factory wall collapsed.

Firefighters are currently working to extinguish the blaze. There is no information on human casualties at this time.
