Lexus crashes into multiple vehicles on Hanoi street

A Lexus unexpectedly crashed into several cars and motorbikes stopped at a red light on Trung Kinh street, Yen Hoa ward, injuring two people on the night of 25/3.

Around 23h30, the Lexus was near the Chelsea Park building at 116 Trung Kinh, at the intersection with Mac Thai To, when it collided with the rear of another car traveling in the same direction towards Duong Dinh Nghe. The Lexus then accelerated, swerved into the oncoming lane, struck three more cars and one motorbike, and overturned.

Witness Tran Thanh Lan stated that upon seeing the Lexus causing the accident, he and about 5 motorbike riders proactively swerved close to the median strip to avoid it. Someone in one of the cars also exited their vehicle.

The accident injured two people, including a ride-hailing motorbike driver who suffered broken legs and arms and was taken to E Hospital on Tran Cung street for emergency treatment.

At the scene, the Lexus's airbags deployed, its front was smashed, and the driver, who was trapped, was helped out by passersby. Other cars had dents on their front and rear, with debris scattered across an area of about 300 m2.
