The new Phu Tho Province will have a 15-minute fireworks display, combining low and high-altitude fireworks, starting at 9 p.m. on June 30 at the pedestrian bridge in Van Lang Park. An art program celebrating the merger of Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, and Phu Tho provinces will also be held there.

They will also have fireworks displays at Bang Giang Bridge and the river wharf along the Bang River.
Bac Ninh Province will host an art program and fireworks to celebrate the establishment of the new province, merged with Bac Giang Province, on the evening of July 4. Initially scheduled for June 28 to July 2, the event was postponed due to anticipated heavy rain, which would have impacted the outdoor events and fireworks.
Earlier, in a document dated June 24, the Secretariat allowed localities to organize fireworks celebrations if conditions permitted, but stipulated that state budget funds should not be used.
According to the National Assembly's resolution on the rearrangement of provincial-level administrative units, the total number of provinces and cities nationwide will be reduced from 63 to 34. Eleven provinces and cities will remain unchanged: Hanoi, Hue, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Cao Bang.
The number of communal-level administrative units nationwide will be reduced to 3,321 communes, wards, and special zones, according to a decision by the National Assembly Standing Committee. District-level administrative units, including cities and towns under provinces, cities under centrally-administered cities, and towns nationwide, will be dissolved.
These documents will take effect on July 1, marking the official commencement of operations for the 34 new provinces and cities, 3,321 communes, wards, and special zones, along with the two-level local government model.
