Nguyen Anh Tai, chairman of the People's Committee of Chon Thanh ward, said bridge number 1 on Highway 40 is a vital artery. With the bridge collapsed, residents face significant detours. "If the heavy rain continues, the entire bridge could be washed away," Tai said, adding that the ward has sent a request to Dong Nai province for assistance in addressing the situation.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the southern and central highlands regions will continue to experience rain in the coming days, with common rainfall amounts between 50 and 100 mm, and some areas exceeding 200 mm. Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces are expected to receive 20 to 40 mm of rain, with isolated areas exceeding 100 mm.
