Pit Thi Ha, chairwoman of the Na Loi People's Committee (UBND), reported that heavy rainfall from the night of 5/7 into the morning of 6/7 caused rivers and streams to overflow, washing away a temporary bridge in Na Loi 2 village. This has cut off road access to Xuoi San and Pieng Lau villages, disrupting transportation.

In Don Boong village, a landslide early in the morning severely damaged the over 50 m2 wooden house of Cut Van Dinh. The family escaped unharmed as they evacuated in time.
Around the same time, a truck carrying equipment attempted to cross a flooded road section but overturned near the edge of a stream. Residents and authorities spent over three hours retrieving the vehicle.
"The incidents occurred late at night when few people were around, making access to the scene difficult. Fortunately, there were no casualties," Ha said. Authorities have deployed personnel to critical areas to assist residents with recovery efforts.

Throughout 6/7, numerous families in high-altitude villages like Huoi Xai 2, Pha Khao, and Huoi Thum were evacuated due to the ongoing risk of landslides. These areas have soft soil and steep terrain, making them prone to landslides after periods of rain.
The commune authorities are working with border guards, militia forces, and local residents to repair temporary roads, assess the situation, and evacuate households in danger zones.
