As of the afternoon of 6/9, floodwaters persisted, making the roads impassable for residents and vehicles. People were forced to take detours. Local authorities erected warning signs and cordoned off hazardous areas.

The floods also inundated over 500 hectares of rice paddies in the hamlets of Thuan Minh 1, Thuan Minh 2, Ku Ke, and Doc Lang. In Ku Ke alone, five households experienced severe flooding, resulting in damage to 4 refrigerators, 12 motorbikes, and 50 meters of concrete road. Total damages are estimated at 3 billion VND.
According to Nguyen Ngoc Anh, chairman of the Ham Thuan Commune People's Committee (UBND), the water is receding. However, the commune has deployed personnel to high-risk areas to provide timely assistance to residents.

On 5/9 and 6/9, heavy rainfall triggered flash floods and widespread inundation across Binh Thuan province. A man in Dong Kho commune, Tanh Linh district, was swept away by the floodwaters and is still missing. The floods also submerged hundreds of hectares of rice, dragon fruit, and other crops in Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan Nam, Tanh Linh, and Phan Thiet, damaging agricultural equipment.
